Lay the blanket out on a sofa or the floor with a towel or the cotton insert underneath you. Drink water before you start.

Start at 45 to 55 degrees for fifteen minutes in the first week and build from there. Twenty to forty minutes at 60 to 70 degrees is a normal session once you are used to it.

Wear light cotton or use the insert. Bare skin against the inner surface gets uncomfortable and makes the blanket harder to clean.

Two to three sessions a week. Rehydrate afterwards and give yourself twenty minutes before standing up quickly.

Do not use it straight after a heavy meal or alcohol. If you are pregnant, or have a cardiovascular condition or any condition affecting how you regulate temperature, speak to your doctor first.
